Progressive, design focused and inclusive architectural practice who act with professionalism and integrity, whilst always aware of our personal impact on others and the environment are looking for an architectural assistant/ architectural technician. They deliver to a wide range of sectors, but consistently put clients' needs and wishes at the forefront of everything that they do. As a practice, they invest in innovation and strive to always challenge the boundaries faced across the industry.

They have recently secured a number of exciting new education projects and are looking to grow our team. As a result, they are looking for an Architectural Architect who will run smaller scale projects, or complex packages within larger projects. They will take on responsibility for feeding into workload discussions, supporting the Senior Architect and Studio Associate to deliver projects. This is an opportunity to join a friendly, progressive, design focused and inclusive architectural practice, working out of a studio with an excellent level of amenities including café, gym and childcare, in addition to excellent transport links and free parking.

People Skills: Be able to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, building strong rapport, creating positive, lasting relationships, and providing project leadership. Have good interpersonal skills to include understanding of sensitivities when in communication with and presenting to clients. Have good verbal and visual presentation skills and ability to explain a design idea and evolution of a concept. Demonstrate an emerging understanding and experience of empowering and motivating a team. Can effectively brief and delegate packages of work. Be committed to researching and maintaining knowledge of the discipline, to ensure continued professional development and experience is always driven forwards. Can interrogate information from the client and consultants and formulate a plan to deliver the project. Can interrogate information from sub-contractors and sub consultants, with an awareness of coordination issues, or design items that could impact on legislative compliance.

Be a problem solver and can come up with solutions following research or discussions with colleagues / specialists. Assist with formation of fee proposals for new projects, and variations for current projects. Have an awareness and understating of implications of design on health and safety. Designer Risk Assessments and cleaning & maintenance documentation to be led by Senior Architect on Project. Be motivated and comfortable developing projects without frequent guidance. Have the ability to interrogate information and formulate a plan to deliver a package of work and be responsible for the preparation and coordination of detailed design and production information including drawings and documents for the design stages of projects.

BIM: Be proficient in AutoDesk Revit and/or AutoCAD, taking the lead on day to day management of models and drawings. Be proficient in presentation software including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-Up or similar. Be able to input into office BIM / CAD processes and procedures.
