The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical infrastructure and renewable energy. You will be a proactive leader with excellent organisational skills, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of solar, battery storage, EV charging, and electrical maintenance projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee smooth project execution.
  • Review technical designs, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Monitor project milestones, manage risks, and address site challenges effectively.
  • Supervise on-site operations, manage resources, and uphold health and safety compliance.
  • Ensure all projects meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate project teams, fostering strong communication and accountability.
  • Conduct site audits to verify adherence to project designs and specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports and performance analyses for stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma or City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent qualification).
  • Higher education qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Proven track record in managing renewable energy or electrical projects.
  • Solid understanding of solar PV, battery systems, EV charging infrastructure, and maintenance protocols.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 or equivalent).
  • Desirable qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Card, ECS Gold Card.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including CDM 2015.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or similar (preferred but not essential).
  • Exceptional organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
