I am actively seeking a skilled and talented engineer to join a successful Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Cardiff. You should have extensive experience, strong software expertise, and a passion for working in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team, with a focus on sustainability, technical excellence, and shaping the future of construction in the UK and beyond.

Key responsibilities for this Senior Civil Engineer include:

• Managing and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Leading scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and coordinating projects.
• Contributing to or leading efforts in business development, budget management, and preparing fee proposals.
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members to ensure high-quality technical and non-technical deliverables.
• Working in a design office while actively participating in design meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting.
• Strong communication and liaison with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities are essential.

You will thrive in this Senior Civil Engineering role if you have:

• A BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering, with significant experience in a design office.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS, Civils3D, and MicroDrainage for technical analysis and design.
• A solid understanding of technical software such as Civil 3D and AutoTrack.
• Experience working with residential developers.
• Knowledge of UK planning procedures and the ability to provide technical support to secure planning approvals.
• Experience securing technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities.
