Bennett and Game are pleased to be representing a well-established and employee-owned civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Cardiff. With over 30 years of industry presence, they are now seeking t a Senior level Civil Engineer to join their growing team due to continued project success and a strong project pipeline.

Civil Engineer Job Overview
  • Take a lead role in the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes across multiple sectors
  • Focus on drainage and infrastructure design for planning and technical design stages
  • Deliver projects typically ranging from £4M-£15M in value
  • Work across residential developments, education facilities, commercial refurbishments, and heritage conversions
  • Coordinate designs with internal structural teams and external consultants
  • Ensure compliance with adoptable standards, including SuDS, Section 104, 106, and 278
  • Lead client and design team meetings throughout project lifecycles
  • Oversee and manage the technical output of junior team members
  • Provide mentorship and support to assistant engineers within the civil team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and collaborative team culture
Civil Engineer Job Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years' UK-based consultancy experience
  • Proficient in drainage and infrastructure design (foul & surface water)
  • Experience with Section 104, 106, and 278 agreements
  • Familiar with design software such as MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, or PDS
  • Confident communicator and collaborative team player
  • Based within a commutable distance to Cardiff, or willing to relocate
Civil Engineer Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
