An award-winning consultancy is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its dynamic Cardiff studio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and confident technician ready to lead the technical delivery of high-quality residential projects from concept through to completion. This RIBA-chartered practice operates across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, education, and leisure.
The successful Senior Architectural Technician will take ownership of the technical design and coordination of a variety of residential schemes, playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of each project.
Skills, Responsibilities and Experience for the role of Senior Architectural Technician:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology
- Strong technical experience in residential projects
- Able to produce detailed drawings and technical packs
- Main contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
- Lead technical work through all project stages (especially RIBA 3-5)
- Ensure designs meet UK Building Regulations and housing standards
- Guide and support junior team members
- Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver quality projects
- Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Confident managing deadlines and team coordination
- Strong communicator and problem solver
- Aware of planning rules, building standards, and sustainable design
