An award-winning consultancy is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its dynamic Cardiff studio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and confident technician ready to lead the technical delivery of high-quality residential projects from concept through to completion. This RIBA-chartered practice operates across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, education, and leisure.

The successful Senior Architectural Technician will take ownership of the technical design and coordination of a variety of residential schemes, playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of each project.

Skills, Responsibilities and Experience for the role of Senior Architectural Technician:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology
  • Strong technical experience in residential projects
  • Able to produce detailed drawings and technical packs
  • Main contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Lead technical work through all project stages (especially RIBA 3-5)
  • Ensure designs meet UK Building Regulations and housing standards
  • Guide and support junior team members
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver quality projects
  • Skilled in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Good knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Confident managing deadlines and team coordination
  • Strong communicator and problem solver
  • Aware of planning rules, building standards, and sustainable design
