Overview:
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, government-run nursery in Cardiff, who are looking for a caring and committed Nursery Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years education and looking to make a real difference in a supportive public sector setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the daily care, supervision, and learning of children aged 0-5.
Assist in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
Support with observations and contribute to individual development plans.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.
Work collaboratively as part of a team and participate in ongoing training.
Requirements:
Essential:
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Basic understanding of child development and safeguarding.
Willingness to undertake relevant training
Desirable:
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years
Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
DBS on the update service
