Ecological Consultant - Cardiff (Hybrid)Environmental Consultancy | Terrestrial Ecology

£27,000 - £30,000 DOE

A forward-thinking environmental consultancy is seeking an Ecological Consultant to join its Cardiff-based terrestrial ecology team. This is a hybrid role offering a blend of fieldwork, technical reporting, and client engagement.

The Role

You'll deliver and coordinate ecological surveys, write clear, concise reports, and work directly with clients and stakeholders. Expect seasonal travel and varied project work, ideal for those who thrive in dynamic environments.

You Will Need
  • Experience in a consultancy or similar ecological role

  • A relevant degree and knowledge of UK wildlife legislation

  • Report writing experience (PEAs, PRAs, etc)

  • A UK driving licence and willingness to travel

  • CIEEM membership (or eligibility)

Desirable: Protected species licences (e.g. bat, GCN, dormouse), experience leading surveys or small projects.
