Work Smarter, Not Longer - Bring Your Electrical Expertise to a Modern Process Plant and Still Be Home for Dinner.

If you are an experienced industrial or process electrician looking to move away from shifts, call-outs, and unpredictable hours - this is the career opportunity you've been waiting for.

Join a large, modern manufacturing site where you will be a vital part of a professional engineering team maintaining the electrical and control systems that keep production moving.
You will work with advanced PLCs, drives, motors, and instrumentation, gaining real technical variety while enjoying the stability of a Monday to Friday, days-only schedule with an early finish every Friday.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on maintenance role at the heart of a large-scale, continuous process operation. You'll apply your electrical and control expertise across critical production equipment - ensuring uptime, improving reliability, and delivering visible results every day.

The site is investing heavily in its future, with a major control-system modernisation project planned for 2027. You'll have the chance to be part of that transformation, helping implement new automation and process control technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance across plant areas.
  • Diagnose and repair motors, drives, switchgear, and control systems.
  • Support calibration and loop testing of instrumentation including flow, pressure, temperature, and gas analysis systems.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical and production teams to maintain operational reliability.
  • Maintain strict safety standards and isolation procedures (LOTO).
  • Record work accurately using the site's SAP-based maintenance management system.

About You

You are a time-served electrician or E&I technician with proven experience in an industrial, process, or continuous manufacturing environment such as cement, steel, power, utilities, aggregates, or chemicals.

You take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive as part of a safety-conscious team.

Essential:

  • Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens / Allen-Bradley)
  • Experience with LV/HV motors, drives, and switchgear
  • Understanding of electrical isolation and LOTO procedures

Desirable:

  • Instrumentation or DCS/SCADA experience
  • SAP or CMMS familiarity
  • MEWP/forklift licence or willingness to train

Why This Role?

  • Days-only working pattern - Monday to Friday, early finish Fridays.
  • Modern automation environment - PLCs, drives, process control systems.
  • Strong safety and engineering culture - highly professional maintenance team.
  • Development and progression - formal training, skill upgrades, and career routes to senior technician or supervisor.
  • Future-ready site - opportunity to contribute to automation and control upgrades planned for 2027.

This is a role where you can combine your industrial maintenance skills with a balanced lifestyle, real autonomy, and long-term career potential in a modern, technology-led environment.

What's Offered

  • Competitive salary and annual bonus scheme.
  • Days-only pattern (37.5 hours per week, early finish Fridays).
  • Ongoing professional training and certification support.
  • Long-term career development and promotion pathways.
  • Secure, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.

If you're ready to step out of shifts and into a technically engaging, stable, and forward-thinking engineering role - we would love to hear from you.
