This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant with a cost accounting background to make a real impact within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.In this key role, you will work closely with the Operations, Engineering, and Design teams to support cost-effective manufacturing and project delivery. You will take ownership of inventory and fixed asset reporting, conduct manufacturing cost analysis, and play a pivotal role in supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities* Maintain accurate accounting for inventory, including stock counts and variance analysis* Analyse and report on manufacturing costs, identifying key variances* Support internal and external audits, particularly in relation to inventory and direct costs* Assist with period-end close and contribute to the production of timely management accounts* Evaluate and report on financial performance and operational efficiency* Provide financial insight to R&D and project teams during new product implementation* Manage all aspects of fixed asset control and customer shipment invoicing* Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations* Liaise with cross-functional teams to resolve financial queries and inform business decisionsAbout YouQualifications & Experience* Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)* Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance-related role* Background in cost accounting and standard costing methodologiesSkills & Attributes* Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities* Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments* Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities* Comfortable working in a manufacturing or operational environmentIf you're ready for your next challenge in finance and want to join a business that values continuous improvement and operational excellence, we would love to hear from you.Artis Recruitment provide specialist recruitment services within HR, Finance, IT, Procurement, Marketing, Customer Contact and Executive Search.
