Cardiff | 27,000 - 32,000 | Monday to Friday | Permanent

Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Administrator to join our team in Cardiff. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth running of operational processes, supporting both internal teams and external partners. You will be responsible for performance tracking, compliance, customer support, and coordination across departments to maintain operational excellence.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on operational KPIs and performance statistics across the branch.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with IATA at the national level, ensuring full compliance with operational standards and requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of key import/export markets and collaborate closely with the Marketing & Sales (M&S) team to support development initiatives.
  • Assist in the management and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers, including service agreements and performance monitoring (e.g., customs clearance, post-landing services).
  • Oversee the customer service function, focusing on customer retention, satisfaction, and cross-selling in collaboration with the M&S team.
  • Work in partnership with the Sales Team and business partners to define services that align with strategic goals and sales targets.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both customers and carriers.
  • Attend client meetings alongside the Sales Team to provide operational and technical expertise.


Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


Experience:

  • 2 years'experience in freight forwarding or a business-related operational role.
  • Hands-on knowledge of air freight operations is essential.
  • Sales and marketing awareness with the ability to support business development initiatives.
  • Experience working in competitive, deadline-driven environments.
