Projects are fast paced and can be anywhere across Wales and England.The Role:A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Estimator to join the pre-construction team based from the Cardiff office.
Assistant Estimator - the role * Accurate measurement using both CAD measure and manual measures. * Production of accurate, comprehensive supply chain enquiries and tracking of same.
* Develop relationships with supply chain. * Develop relationships with the Design Team and Clients. * Develop the quality and range of the supply chain. * Assist in the identification of areas of risk and opportunity. * Highlight conflict and deficiencies within contract documentation. * Production of accurate costs including review and comparison of supply chain quotations.
* Rate Build up – Allocation of appropriate trades, materials and labour. * Develop understanding of rate cost data. Resource output/build up. * Assist or produce the Estimating handover information in a suitable format for the Construction team.
* Support of Senior department staff * Support and promote collaborative working both internally and externally * Develop use of IT systems * Develop and maintain a level of technical expertise * Maintain current cost data * Obtain feedback from the construction departments on tenders * Follow the company brand and ethos.
