OVERVIEWA highly regarded legal practice is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its growing Cardiff team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the lead partner and help shape the long-term direction of a developing practice. The successful candidate will manage a high-quality claimant caseload, support junior team members, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives. There is also a short to medium-term route to partnership available for more senior applicants.

RESPONSIBILITIES* Manage a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters from instruction to resolution.* Provide expert legal advice to clients on the merits of their claims, funding options, and case strategy.* Instruct and liaise with medical experts and counsel, ensuring high standards of evidence gathering.* Draft key legal documents, including Letters of Claim and Schedules of Loss.* Represent clients in negotiations and litigation, including settlement discussions and trial preparation.* Build and maintain strong, empathetic client relationships, offering clear and compassionate guidance.* Supervise and support junior team members as needed, ensuring quality and consistency.* Contribute to the growth of the department through business development and networking activities.* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal firm requirements, including accurate time recording and billing.

ABOUT YOU* 4+ years PQE with solid experience handling claimant clinical negligence claims.* Demonstrable track record of managing complex cases independently.* Excellent client care skills with the ability to navigate sensitive and emotional matters.* Confident communicator with strong drafting and negotiation skills.
