Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Cardiff for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and established industrial business offering long-term work, competitive pay, and great benefits.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Wheeled Loading Shovel, supporting site production and recovery processes. Experience within furnace recovery and hot metal operations will be highly advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel in line with site safety standards.
Supporting furnace recovery and hot metal handling operations.
Maintaining equipment and carrying out basic safety checks.
Working collaboratively as part of a site operations team.
Requirements
Valid UK driving licence.
CPCS or NPORS licence for Loading Shovel operation.
Experience within an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.
Flexibility to work either Monday-Friday (10-hour shifts) or a 4-on-4-off rotation (12-hour shifts).
