Our client, a national Technology leader, are looking to recruit an IT Staging Technician to join them on a Temporary basis in Cardiff for a period of 1 month initially.

The role will involve supporting with the testing and staging of IT tech, ready for deployment to customer installations.

This role would suit someone with a good understanding of IT, computers, hardware and software, and someone looking to start a long-term career in tech, with lots of opportunities to go permanent for the right person.

Due to location, candidates MUST have access to their own transport.

What you'll be doing:

  • Imaging, building, configuring and staging of IT systems (PC's/Network equipment/servers/cameras/tablets/hand-held devices) to ensure full functionality before deployment to customer project site.
  • Supporting with software and firmware upgrades/downgrades (including routers, firewalls, and switches)
  • Supporting with picking, packing, and dispatch of equipment to customer project sites.

What you'll need:

  • Strong experience in IT / Computer systems including hardware & software.
  • Great customer experience and ability to communicate positively.
  • Positive, solutions focused approach to work tasks.
  • Manually dextrous.
  • Good understanding of health & safety in a work environment.
  • Able to drive with access to own transport essential due to location.
  • Able to pass a DBS check.
