Head of Media (Director of Media and Creative)

Newly created role to join the Senior Leadership Team in Cardiff. You'll attend the office 3 x per week/the rest can be remote.

Oversee the strategic development and execution of the media & creative teams. It’s essential that you’ve worked with paid media.

The role oversees the functions of Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned Media, supporting the teams in work such as media planning and buying, brand storytelling, and creative development and execution to ensure impactful work.

The role is integral to driving the commercial impact of these areas and will work closely with both New Business, Client Services and the wider Senior Leadership Team to drive new business and improve client delivery

About you:

  • 8+ years of experience in media strategy/creative direction/similar role
  • 3+ years in a leadership position
  • successful management of media, marketing and creative projects
  • Experience of business generation/developing a new business pipeline
  • Strong understanding of current media and creative trends, technologies, and platforms
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strategic and creative
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Ability to interpret data and use insights to inform strategies

Snap shot of duties:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data led strategies for the media teams
  • Oversee and support teams to deliver the paid, earned, and owned media campaigns, ensuring optimal performance across all channels (digital, social, traditional, etc.)
  • Analyse media performance data and provide actionable insights for future campaigns.
  • Develop and execute creative concepts
  • Develop a new business pipeline
  • Report monthly on job profitability, new business and overall team performance
