LHH are working closely with a leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Associate in Employment Law for their Cardiff office. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a tier 1 ranked Employment team that handles some of the most complex, high-profile, and rewarding matters in the market.

  • The client base spans major household names, public sector bodies, utilities, transport, retail, and healthcare-giving you exposure to both contentious and non-contentious matters across a wide range of sectors.

The Role

As a Senior Associate, you'll:

  • Advise on a wide spectrum of employment matters, from day-to-day HR support through to large-scale restructures and litigation.
  • Work closely with high-profile clients across multiple industries, including retail, health & life sciences, financial services, technology, transport, and government.
  • Play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers while enjoying direct partner contact and clear progression opportunities.
  • Have the chance to focus on niche areas that interest you most-whether that's equal pay, industrial relations, international work, or sector-specific expertise.

About You

  • Qualified solicitor with 4-8 years' PQE in Employment Law.
  • Comfortable handling a varied caseload, balancing contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Strong client-handling skills and the ability to supervise and support more junior colleagues.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with an eye for practical, innovative solutions.
