Employment Solicitor

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £45,000 bonus

Eden Rose are working with a thriving, award-winning legal practice who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join and lead the growth of the Employment Law department.

Role:

You will be required to develop and expand our Employment Law offering by:

  • Building and running a caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Handling matters for both claimants and respondents, including unfair dismissal, discrimination claims, TUPE, redundancies, and employment contracts/policies
  • Winning new business and developing relationships with local businesses, HR consultancies, and professional networks (a strong referral base is advantageous)
  • Undertaking marketing and business development initiatives to promote our firm-wide Employment Law services
  • Working alongside the Managing Director to implement strategic growth and performance initiatives

Requirements:

  • Applications open to qualified solicitors with a minimum of 3 years PQE
  • Must have strong experience in both contentious and advisory Employment Law matters
  • Experience of independently managing a full caseload from instruction to conclusion
  • Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members, and contribute to a culture of growth and development
  • Demonstrated success in business development and networking
  • Strong client care and communication skills
  • The role is based at the Cardiff office, with a preferred minimum of 4 days in-office and 1 day remote working
  • The preferred candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, with the ambition and commercial awareness to actively contribute to the development of the department and wider firm
  • This is a key leadership-track role – the preferred candidate will be expected to ultimately grow and lead the Employment Law department, with a defined career pathway to support their progression into a senior leadership position within the firm
