We are working with a well-renowned regional contractor with a reputation for delivering high-quality mixed use, leisure, and luxury residential schemes across South Wales and South West England.
Due to a strong pipeline of secured work in the South Wales region, our client is looking to expand their operational team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Site Manager.
The successful candidate will report to a Senior Project Manager and be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The initial project involves the refurbishment of a prestigious listed building along with a high-spec new build extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee site operations from through the project life cycle
- Manage subcontractors and site teams effectively
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Manage quality ensuring high standards are delivered across the project
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and the wider project team
- Monitor project programme, costs, and progress
- Reporting directly to the project lead.
Key Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Site or Senior Site Manager on new build or refurbishment projects valued between £5M–£15M
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and H&S requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold card, First Aid at Work)
