We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a social housing project based in Cardiff, starting in the New Year. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day site operations, ensure works are completed to a high standard, and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, the client, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily running of the construction site, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and to specification.

  • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site activities in line with the project programme.

  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce all health & safety policies and procedures.

  • Monitor progress, oversee quality control, and resolve any issues or delays that arise.

  • Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, and local authorities as required.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, permits, and site diaries.

  • Ensure materials are ordered and delivered in line with project timelines.

  • Uphold company standards and ensure compliance with building regulations and project requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential or social housing projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety regulations, and site coordination.

  • SMSTS (or SSSTS), CSCS card, and First Aid certification (preferred).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain proactive site control.
