Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in plant rooms and building services, looking to work on low-carbon and district energy projects from concept through to completion?

On offer is the chance to work on high-impact low-carbon and district-energy projects, taking designs from concept through to installation. You'll work closely with experienced engineers, develop technically challenging solutions, and see your work come to life on site with clear opportunities for progression, chartership support and ongoing professional development.

In this role, you'll join a specialist consultancy at the forefront of low-carbon heating and district-energy projects. You'll work on high-profile, technically challenging projects alongside experienced engineers, in a supportive environment that offers professional development, flexible working, and clear opportunities for career growth.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in plant rooms and building services who wants to be involved in low-carbon and district-energy projects from concept through to completion.

The Role:

  • Develop mechanical designs for plant rooms and building services, including schematics, GA drawings, technical specifications, and calculations, ensuring compliance with regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Manage design deliverables, procurement packs, and support tendering processes across multiple projects.
  • Conduct site surveys, attend client/project meetings, oversee installations, and witness plant commissioning.
  • Delegate tasks to junior engineers and support their professional development while contributing to wider project and bid support.
  • 40-hour week - Flexi hours - 9am - 5pm.

The Person:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or similar
  • Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
  • Commutable to Cardiff
