Overview
An established and growing consultancy is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead a team of around five Mechanical Engineers while taking responsibility for delivering and driving projects forward. The position has been created to provide additional leadership support to the Director and play a central role in the continued success of the business.
The Role
The Principal Mechanical Engineer will:
Manage and mentor a team of Mechanical Engineers.
Lead the delivery of mechanical projects across a variety of sectors.
Drive projects forward while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
Play a key role in client liaison and building long-term relationships.
Support the Director in overseeing workload and technical delivery.
Contribute to the development and progression of junior engineers.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant building services discipline.
Extensive experience in mechanical building services design and consultancy.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong project delivery and client-facing experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
