Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing

Permanent Position
Up to £45,000 per annum

We are working with a social housing provider who is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a varied programme of planned and reactive works across their housing stock.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, supporting cost control and commercial management from inception through to completion.

Scope of Works

Projects may include:

  • Kitchens & Bathrooms (K&Bs)

  • Day-to-day and planned disrepairs

  • Fire damage reinstatement works

  • Fire door installation programmes

  • Fire sprinkler installation works

  • BISF – External Wall Insulation (EWI) projects

  • Multi-storey flat refurbishment programmes

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial management of multiple social housing workstreams

  • Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and forecasts

  • Valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Managing subcontractor payments and commercial performance

  • Supporting procurement and contract administration

  • Liaising with operational, technical, and client-side teams

  • Ensuring cost control and value for money across all projects

About You
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing or maintenance frameworks

  • Experience across planned works, refurbishments, or reactive maintenance

  • Knowledge of fire safety–related works (desirable)

  • Strong commercial and cost management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Right to work in the UK
