37.5 Hours Mon-Fri. Flex on start/end times. On call 1 in 4.


Are you an experienced NOC Engineer from a telecoms/ISP background looking for an exciting opportunity offering total job security, hybrid working, on call earnings, training and long term progression?


This role is with a major player in the utilities market and this is a busy NOC with over 100,000 customers (and growing), so excellent job security and progression is available, as is training on Nokia qualifications and/or ITIL.

The position has come about due to internal promotion, demonstrating the progression available.

You can significantly increase earnings via on call and overtime. However at the same time the overtime isn't compulsory so you can also enjoy excellent work/life balance with flex on start/end times and 2 days/week from home.


The role is extremely varied and requires some customer facing activities as well as back office network and product development work, and is working with leading edge access technology using GPON Fibre to the Home (FTTH).

The role:


  • Full time permanent role working for a major player in the utilities sector. 2 days/week from home, flex on start/end times and on call for escalation 1 week in 4
  • Day to day management of the network responding to outages, major incidents and supporting on site teams.
  • Maintain and upgrade the Core network
  • Be a senior technical point of escalation


  • The Person:


  • Relevant qualifications such as Nokia NRS certification, juniper qualifications or degree in IT/Network engineering
  • Extensive working experience in a NOC in a telecoms/ISP environment, ideally with 50,000 plus customers
  • Able to configure and fault find on routing and communications protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
