Job Summary

Here at Team Educate, we support a wide range of Secondary schools in the Cardiff and South Wales area, providing them with short and long term supply staff. We are therefore seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic success. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of behaviour management, and the ability to educate students across various subjects.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Educate students in core subjects, while integrating special education strategies as needed.
  • Employ effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a conducive classroom environment.
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and support to students requiring additional assistance, ensuring their academic growth.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Experience

  • A relevant teaching qualification is essential, along with experience in a high school setting.
  • Proven ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively while promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Experience in special education is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • A background in tutoring or additional educational support roles will be considered an asset.
