TeacherActive is proud to be working with a ALN school in Cardiff, supporting with their recruitment for a ALN Learning Support Worker The setting is centred on pupil’s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.
The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this long-term role. The successful ALN Learning Support Worker will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school and ensure that they create a safe space for the children to flourish.
The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
The successful ALN Learning Support Worker will have:
- Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility
- A strong sense of emotional intelligence
