SEN Teaching Assistant (Cardiff)

The School:

Revised Recruitment Group are working with a large SEN school in Cardiff who have been recognised as excellent by Estyn in their latest inspection. The school supports pupils aged 3-19 with Autism and/ or profound and complex needs. The school prides itself on a positive, inclusive, and welcoming ethos.

The Role:

The role is to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a Special School supporting an adapted curriculum across key stages in a 3-19 provision. You will be supporting the Teacher in a class with no more than 8 pupils.

Ideally the candidate would be looking to start ASAP with a view to this becoming a long-term placement in September.

What you will need to succeed

  • Have a passion for the education of children and working with pupils with learning difficulties.
  • Have the ability to form effective working relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • You will act as a positive role model for pupils with SEN.

Previous experience in schools is not essential as training will be provided. If you have had previous experience in supporting SEN or have an interest in doing so- please get in touch.
