Main Purpose of the Role

As aSenior Full Stack Web Developer,you will be instrumental in evolving our clients' digital platforms. This includes leading end-to-end development projects, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating across departments to deliver robust, scalable web solutions. You will also contribute to strategic growth initiatives by optimising systems and adopting innovative technologies.

Key Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Extensive full-stack development experience, particularly withSymfonyor similar PHP frameworks andVue.jsor comparable JavaScript libraries.
  • Strong command of HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and MySQLfor building performant web applications.
  • Proficient withversion control systems, especiallyGIT.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and working withAPIsand package managers such asComposerandNPM.
  • Ability to work with and moderniselegacy codebases.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimising system performance.
  • Provenleadership and mentoring abilities, particularly in developing junior team members.
  • Excellentorganisationalandtime managementskills.
  • Strong interpersonal andcommunicationskills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus oncode qualityand maintainability.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with acan-do' attitudeand drive for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrable commitment toequality, diversity and inclusionin the workplace.
  • Sound awareness ofcompany policies,health and safety requirements, and relevant legislation.

Role and Responsibilities

Development Duties

  • Lead and develop high-quality web applications usingSymfony,Vue.js,Craft CMS, andMySQL.
  • Take ownership of full project life cycles - from concept and design to implementation and delivery.
  • Drive thetechnical directionof larger initiatives while providing guidance to less experienced developers.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and product teams to plan, build, and integrate new platform features.
  • Conductcode reviews, ensuring alignment with best practices and consistent coding standards.
  • Enhance and future-proof our technical infrastructure throughstack modernisationand process optimisation.
  • Quickly resolve bugs and technical challenges to ensure reliability and system uptime.
  • Utilise tools likeWebpack,Composer, andNPMto improve development workflows.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
