Senior Engineer - Substation Extension Project, Carlisle

Duration:Initial 3 month duration, with longer term opportunity (2 year project)
Hours: 07:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday

iRecruit UK is seeking experienced Senior Engineers to join a Substation Extension Project in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Tier 1 contractor on a high-profile infrastructure project.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the work of site and section engineers.
• Coordinate temporary works and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage construction activities including reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame buildings.
• Contribute to project planning, execution, and quality control.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Previous experience with lifting operations is preferred.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on construction sites, particularly in substation projects.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame construction.
• Experience in Temporary Works Coordination is essential.
• Familiarity with lifting operations and related safety practices is a plus.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering a competitive day rate and the opportunity to work on a critical infrastructure project.
