Contract Length: 12 Months
Location: Primarily Cumbria (with occasional travel to Manchester for team meetings)
Rate: Up to 450 per day (Umbrella)

We are currently seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join a high-profile infrastructure organisation on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong surveying background and familiarity with rail or infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage surveying works across various sites, predominantly in the Cumbria region.
  • Conduct site visits on a near-daily basis (a company vehicle and fuel card will be provided).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver surveying activities in line with project goals.
  • Attend occasional team meetings at the Manchester-based office.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Surveying or equivalent industry-recognised training.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. RICS, CIOB, etc.).
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Safety Competencies:

  • PTS (Personal Track Safety)
  • ACDC (Associated Competencies for Direct Current systems)
  • Working at Height (preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain this if not already held)

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the rail industry or major infrastructure projects.
  • Solid understanding of related engineering disciplines.
