Cafe Assistant

H&H Group plc is a group of companies based in Carlisle. We operate in Auctioneering, Property, Insurance and Printing.

We are looking for a Cafe Assistant to join our busy catering team. The café is based in the auction mart building, Borderway Rosehill, Carlisle and serves both H&H Group employees and customers.

The role will include:

taking orders and serving food and drinks to customers as required.

collecting payments from customers.

clearing tables

filling service areas with condiments, napkins etc. as required.

assisting with the preparation of hot and cold meals, in accordance with pre-set menus as and when required.

The successful applicant will:

• Have good communication skills
• Be flexible and self-motivated
• Be able to work quickly under pressure whilst remaining calm and polite in all circumstances
• Have an understanding of health and safety regulations relating to a catering establishment

The role is offered on a zero-hours basis and there would be some flexibility in respect of hours, in particular hours could be worked at weekends and early evening to suit lifestyle.

A competitive rate of pay will be made available to the successful candidate.
