TeacherActive are looking for a Teaching Assistant in the Carlisle area. We have opportunities to work within a variety of schools within the area. We create amazing rapport with our schools and support staff in order to find you the best suitable placements. The school has many ambitions to achieve including providing high quality education for every child and ensuring every pupil leaves the school excited to learn and determined to succeed.

We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant / TA to cover day to day, short-term and long-term placements. This is a great chance to widen your experience and have the excitement of working within local schools. You will have the guaranteed opportunity to support pupils and help them thrive within the school.

A successful Teaching assistant will have:

SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant experience
Experience of supporting young people on a 1:1 basis (desirable)
Experience of supporting pupils with Autism / ASD
Experience working within a Primary setting
A good understanding of safeguarding and Child Protection
