Junior Service Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Starting Salary.
Contracted Hours: 50 hours per week

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of machine tools including milling lathes, manual machines, and tool room machining centres, is seeking an a Junior Machine Tool Engineer. The successful candidate will join their expanding servicing and commissioning team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to a management team of ex-service managers who provide support and guidance for efficient scheduling.
- Servicing and commissioning machines, performing routine and preventative maintenance.
- Replacing ball screws, fitting spindles, and conducting geometric re-alignments.
- Primarily working with ProtoTRAK controls, as well as Siemens 840D and Fanuc systems.
- The role is primarily electrical, with a 60:40 electrical-to-mechanical focus.
Requirements:
- Multi-skilled engineers with backgrounds in maintenance, machine tool fitting or Machining.
- Proficiency in operating machine controls and performing diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical understanding of CNC machines
- Electrical experience of CNC machines would also be beneficial.
- Experience with ProtoTRAK is preferred, but additional experience with Siemens and Fanuc controls is advantageous.
- Flexibility for occasional overnight stays as this role will entail a lot of travel.
- Strong attention to detail and a drive to commit themselves to training.
- Valid UK passport.
