Senior Geotechnical Engineer | £45,000+ (plus Car Allowance & Overtime)

We are looking for aSenior Geotechnical Engineerto play a key role in developing high-quality technical reports, managing project delivery, and leading site-based operations. What youll be doing:

  • Delivering professional, technically robust reports, and liaising with clients and specialists.
  • Managing project work, resources, and financials effectively.
  • Motivating, mentoring, and developing a growing team of geotechnical professionals.
  • Leading on-site ground investigations and construction supervision.
  • Supporting project delivery, including contractor management and client communication.
  • Contributing to profile-raising activities and bids across Scotland and the wider UK.

What were looking for:

  • Strong technical expertise in geotechnical engineering and ground investigation.
  • Proven experience managing geotechnical projects and preparing detailed technical reports.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and established relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Knowledge of Eurocode 7, UK design codes, and ground investigation standards.
  • Experience with geotechnical software and a critical eye for checking reports and drawings.
  • Outstanding communication, report-writing, and client liaison skills.
