HR Business and Change Partner

You'll report to and support a Strategic HR Business Partner, playing a key role in delivering people-related aspects of service strategies. You will lead complex, high-risk, and large-scale organisational change that may span multiple directorates. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor to managers, providing HR/OD advice, and supporting the implementation of local people plans and strategies.

The position is a full-time, temporary 6-month contract with a salary of £47,181 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organisational Change: Manage a caseload of complex change projects, including organisational design, TUPE transfers, and changes to employment terms and conditions.

  • Strategic Contribution: Support Strategic HR Business Partners and contribute to the development of service strategies and policies.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with managers and trade unions.

  • Guidance and Support: Matrix manage and guide HR staff on organisational change, serving as an escalation point for complex issues.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree or equivalent professional qualification, such as a full CIPD qualification, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrable experience in building trusted relationships with stakeholders.

  • Proven experience successfully managing a range of organisational change projects within a complex organisation.

  • Significant experience in resolving complex employee relations cases, such as disciplinary and grievance issues.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
