Collections Officer – Field Based - Carlisle

Here at Peopleforce Recruitment we are looking for a candidate who has a flexible schedule to work on a part-time basis for a global market leading pharmaceutical business.

The role includes peforming sample and toxicology testings on employees in dynamic workplaces - where safety is critical. This may include breathaliser tests, hair samples and urine samples. This company provides an incredible training model, so you do not need experience in this area before. We are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, good customer service skills and an interest in this role. This role would be working on a standby Fri 6pm - Mon 6pm once a month and also 1 full day per week 6pm - 6pm. During these time periods, you could receive call outs.

There may also be some pre booked collections based on the clients and your availability.

Please be advised that you will need to drive and have your own vehicle for this role as it will be field based.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Collections Officer, you will:

  • Conduct drug and alcohol sample collections in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, and handling of samples to maintain chain-of-custody integrity.
  • Adhere strictly to confidentiality and privacy policies while interacting with clients and test subjects.
  • Travel to client sites or testing locations as needed (travel expenses covered, if applicable).
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of sample collection and testing activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.

Skills & Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and respect in all interactions.
  • Are comfortable working independently and managing schedules effectively.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license, personal vehical and are willing to travel.
  • [Preferred] Have previous experience in sample collection, healthcare, or a related field.

Pay rates:

  • £11 per 12 hour shift standby
  • £22 per 24 hour period standby
  • £14 pre booked visit in hours (runs 8:00 - 18:00)
  • £17 per call out visit in hours (runs 8:00 - 18:00)
  • £18 per pre booked out of hours visit (runs 18:00 - 8:00)
  • £37.50 per call out visit out of hours (runs 18:00 - 8:00)
  • £37.50 per hour out of hours rate
