The role is to support our Motor Vehicle apprentices. As a Motor Vehicle training subject specialist. You will plan, deliver and assess Apprentice training. Support apprentices and employers in the workplace with regular reviews to ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship and EPA (End point Assessment). To assist the marketing and development of the Motor Vehicle apprenticeship to industry.
Responsibilities:
1. To carry out Training Needs Analysis for Companies in relation to Apprenticeship and other training programmes.
2. To draw up Individual and Group Delivery Plans and to co-ordinate and lead on initial skills assessment for Apprenticeship and other training programmes.
3. To liaise with College staff in the planning, delivery and assessment of the agreed training plan and to monitor progress of apprentices and groups of apprentices.
4. To assess and review apprentices/trainees in accordance with internal and external requirements primarily in Digital.
5. To be responsible for overseeing and reporting on performance of the learner journey
6. To lead on quality assurance and quality improvements for apprenticeship and other programmes within the curriculum area, including liaison with awarding organisations and implementing quality improvement actions.
7. To liaise with the Curriculum Team Manager to co-ordinate the delivery and completion of all parts of the:
Apprenticeship Standards including preparation for End Point Assessment
8. To deliver teaching and learning sessions as required by the needs of Apprenticeship or other training programmes.
9. To deliver up to 170 hours teaching and training sessions in support of apprenticeship/curriculum related activities in Digital. These hours can be extended due to operational needs.
10. To assist the Business Engargement Manager in the promotion of such programmes.
11. To assist with organisation/administration duties related to apprenticeship programmes.
12. To undertake monitoring, evaluation and assessment procedures to support the progress and achievement of student learning.
13. To assist the Curriculum Team Manager in obtaining Apprentice placements, and to monitor the suitability of such placements in terms of relevance, health and safety and welfare.
14. To assist with recruitment, enrolment and induction of Apprentice programmes.
15. To maintain effective relationships between academic and support staff and provide a communication link between employers and department managers.
16. Such other duties connected with the post as may reasonably be required.
17. To undertake Health & Safety checks in the workplace and maintain records.
