The RoleWe are recruiting for an experienced wood machinist to work in our production mill at Kingstown, Carlisle.
You will be used to working in a low volume bespoke environment and will be able to consistently deliver results working under pressure. You should have a passion for timber manufacturing an able to work to achieve a high standard of accuracy and detail. Experience on multiple types of wood machinery would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience and full working knowledge of woodworking machinery. Training can be provided to develop and complement existing skills. The candidate is expected to be ale to work as part of a team, as well as on their own initiative. The candidate should be committed, hardworking and is required to have excellent attendance and punctuality levels.
We would expect the candidate to comply with all company rules, policies and procedures, also to adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy and the wearing of PPE where required. (The company will provide all PPE required)

Responsibilities
- Operate woodworking machinery to cut, shape, and finish wood products according to specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Employ hand tools and power tools for assembly and finishing tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
- Ensuring all tools, machines and equipment are kept in good working and safe condition.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.30
Pay:Competitive salary - rate of pay dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.50-£16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
