Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour
About the Role:As a Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team, you will be at the forefront of protecting individuals from abuse and neglect. Your role will involve responding to safeguarding concerns, undertaking robust assessments, and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure effective interventions. Responsibilities typically include:
- Receiving and investigating safeguarding referrals, assessing risk, and determining the appropriate course of action.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs and circumstances, including Section 47 enquiries where applicable (for children) or leading adult safeguarding enquiries.
- Developing and implementing safeguarding plans, ensuring they are person-centred and effectively mitigate risks.
- Working closely with police, health professionals, education, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
- Preparing detailed reports for strategy meetings, safeguarding conferences/reviews, and court proceedings as required.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on safeguarding matters to colleagues and partner agencies.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements and local policies.
- A Social Work Degree or equivalent relevant degree.
- At least 2 years of post-qualifying experience working directly in safeguarding or a closely related statutory social work role with either children or adults at risk in the UK.
- Registered with Social Care Wales.
- An up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service).
