We are currently seeking a dynamic History Teacher to join a school in Lancaster starting in September. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative History lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 teaching experience would be an advantage.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Maintain effective classroom management skills.
  • Demonstrate reliability and commitment to the educational development of students.
  • Serve as a positive role model, exemplifying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching practices and learning experiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 is advantageous.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be patient, punctual, and confident when working with children.
  • Must be trustworthy and committed to the welfare and education of students.
