We are looking for a permanent Project Manager to join a well-established civil engineering contractor based in the North East of England, specialising in water sector projects. The company handles works including WwTw, reservoirs, dams, flood alleviation schemes, coffer-dams, piling, new RC concrete structures, and repairs.

Ideally, candidates should have a background as a site engineer, although experience in shuttering joinery will also be considered. M&E candidates need not apply as the role is with a purely civils contractor. Applicants must be able to interpret design drawings, possess basic knowledge of NEC contracts, and be comfortable preparing risk assessments, method statements, and RAMS site paperwork. Effective management of site files and deliveries, as well as ensuring health and safety best practices, is essential.

Experience managing both direct and subcontract staff is crucial, with previous work on WEM, EA, AMP, or Canal and River Trust frameworks preferred. The ideal candidate will have served as a Site Agent or Project Manager with a civil engineering contractor.

A valid CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid certificate, and driving licence are required, as travel to various sites is expected. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered, with additional financial rewards for out-of-region work.
