About this position:
We are working with a leading automation solutions provider who are seeking experiencedElectrical Installation Techniciansto join their team on a contract basis. This role is based within a large distribution centre, focusing on the installation of conveyors, production lines, and associated automated equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install and wire electrical systems for conveyors, sortation equipment, and production line machinery
- Work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout schematics to complete installations accurately
- Cable pulling, containment, glanding, and terminating of control and power cables
- Assist with the integration of control panels, sensors, and safety devices into automated systems
- Carry out testing, inspection, and commissioning support as installations are completed
- Adhere to site safety procedures and industry standards throughout all work
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in electrical installation withindistribution centres, warehouses, or automated production environments
- Hands-on experience with conveyor systems and automated handling equipment
- Skilled in cable installation, containment, and termination works
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Strong health & safety awareness in an industrial installation setting
