Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: East Midlands, Derbyshire, Castle Donington

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours Monday to Friday. FLEXIBLE WORKING FROM HOME

Primary Industry: Construction - New build housing / House Building

Salary: £35000 - £50000 Per annum

Qualifications: Driving Licence

Company Branding: A growing Housing Developer are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a brand new regional office! This business are known for their incredible NHBC Quality achievements and culture.

Job Duties:
  • Assist in preparing tender and contract documents
  • Conduct cost analysis and prepare cost reports
  • Monitor and manage project budgets
  • Assist in negotiating and managing subcontractor contracts
  • Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment
  • Provide support in resolving contractual and commercial issues
  • Assist in final account preparation
Required Qualifications:

A valid Driving Licence

Experience:

Previous experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in housing projects

COINS experience is desired

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and legal requirements
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based work with regular site visits
  • Full-time hours with occasional overtime required
  • Travel to different project locations may be necessary
