Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer position for one of our clients in Dorset. The Workshop Supervisor with a pump background is required to supervise the team technicially whilst being hands on with excellent starting salary

The Role:
As a Workshop Supervisor / Fitter you will be required to provide leadership to the teams onsite fitters and oversee the mechanical production of pumps. The role will be very hands on and will include production supervision, mechanical assembly, inspection and testing. A strong background in pumps is required.
This role requires previous experience of supervising and inspection in a mechanical engineering environment. Supervising mechanical operations to ensure all aspects of the order cycle is completed satisfactory. Ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment by adherence to HSQE requirements, driving continuous improvement, and meet company objectives.
You will also be involved in dismantling, rebuilding and refurbishment of pumps within the workshop. You will be responsible for ensuring all inspection and assembly documentation is completed and procedures, policies and work instructions are followed.
The candidate:
- Mechanical Fitting background
- Experience repairing and/or fitting pumps
- Supervisory/technical background
- Mechanical qualifications
- Able to work within a small team
