Henderson Brown is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-renowned FMCG manufacturer to join their team just outside of Castleford. You will play a key role in being hands on with the shop floor, assigning tasks to engineers, co-ordinating tasks and ensuring a continuous improvement focus.Key Responsibilities:* Lead and support engineering teams during shifts, ensuring effective performance and issue resolution.* Communicate downtime and maintenance updates clearly to Shift and Engineering Managers.* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and contractor procedures.* Maintain and operate production equipment to meet performance standards.* Conduct effective shift handovers with clear updates on ongoing issues.* Investigate contamination incidents within required timeframes.* Keep maintenance records up to date using CMMS.* Uphold workshop standards, including cleanliness and tool control audits.* Monitor PPM progress and escalate any concerns promptly.Requirements:* Time-served, multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship/qualification such as NVQ/HNC/HND in (or equivalent).* Electrical bias preferred, or at minimum, proven electrical fault-finding and installation skills, including three-phase motors.* Previous experience in a manufacturing/FMCG* Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).* Strong communication skills and logical problem-solving abilities.* Proven leadership experience in an engineering environment (e.g. Team Leader or Supervisor).* IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety certification (desirable)* Exposure to PLC programming and automation systems (desirable)* Experience with flow wrappers, bag formers, and metal detection equipment (desirable)This role is a mix of days, and night shifts.
