Search Recruitment Group are supporting a fast-growing business with the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant to work closely with the Head of Finance. This role will offer progression and study support towards CIMA/ACCA.

The Assistant Management Accountant role sits within the head office in Castleford providing first-class support to business sites across the UK. Working in a small team, the successful candidate will have exposure to both internal and external stakeholders, helping to shape the future direction of the business. This role is vital in promoting a robust control environment, whilst producing timely and accurate Management Accounts.

Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be accountable for the month end close process and compilation of the Management Accounts. You will partner with the relevant budget holders regarding a selection of P&L cost lines, reporting variances and trends. You will ensure the maintenance of Fixed Asset Register, depreciation and capex, along with the maintenance of general prepayments and accruals schedules. You will coordinate both the Balance Sheet reconciliation and risk & opportunities review processes (including any appropriate provisioning).

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Be Part Qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Have Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum
  • Have excellent attention to detail with an organised approach.
  • Have the ability to see opportunities for improving and streamlining processes and for commercial improvement.
  • Be ambitious with a desire to progress


What's on offer:

Salary 35,000 - 40,000 dependant on experience + study package + life assurance + private medical cover + 25 days annual leave, plus your birthday off, plus bank holidays + company bonus scheme + free on site car parking.

This is a full time role Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm (hybrid working up to 2 days each week is available)
