We are proud to partner with a prominent construction firm based in Castleford, Yorkshire and the Humber, known for their commitment to excellence in civil engineering projects.

The company in question are a family run business in which are quickly growing and are looking to recruit a experienced Civils biased Quantity Surveyor who has some experience on Earthworks, Substructure and Drainage projects to Join their team of Quantity Surveyors in their Castleford Office.  

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and cost estimates
  • Monitor and report on project progress and expenditures
  • Perform value engineering exercises and cost control efforts
  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure project objectives are met
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant field
  • Proven experience in civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and practices
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools
Salary:
  • Up to £60,000 (D.O.E) 
  • Company Car/Car Allowance
