Join the dynamic team at Wakefield Council as a Receptionist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the centre's services and functions within a shared use centre. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide a frontline reception service, supporting all services and functions within the centre and resolving building matters efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Business and Community Centre Coordinator to organise PR and marketing activities as directed.
  • Manage bookings for meeting/event spaces, maintain the booking system, and raise invoices for bookings.
  • Prepare the Centre for events, ensuring the correct setup of furniture, equipment, and catering stations as per the booking system and customer expectations.
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, supporting them throughout their events and accommodating last-minute changes.
