Join the dynamic team at Wakefield Council as a Receptionist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the centre's services and functions within a shared use centre. This position requires a proactive and efficient individual who can manage multiple tasks effectively and provide excellent customer service.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide a frontline reception service, supporting all services and functions within the centre and resolving building matters efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Business and Community Centre Coordinator to organise PR and marketing activities as directed.
- Manage bookings for meeting/event spaces, maintain the booking system, and raise invoices for bookings.
- Prepare the Centre for events, ensuring the correct setup of furniture, equipment, and catering stations as per the booking system and customer expectations.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, supporting them throughout their events and accommodating last-minute changes.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in managing social media platforms and website content.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
