Cover Supervisor - Castleford

At Engage, we’re working with various secondary schools across the Castleford area who are looking to recruit full-time cover supervisors that can commit to improving the attainment of all pupils.
This is a great opportunity to join close-knit teaching teams and make a real difference to students educational journey.
About the role
You have the opportunity to be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers across various schools in Kirklees. Each school and Engage Education will provide training to enhance your skills before starting in the classroom, and you will be a part of a close and dynamic team. This role has very little planning and marking.
About you
- Experience working with students aged 11-16
- Flexibility to work in different subjects
- Confident managing behaviour
- An ability to build rapport with students
- Have a fun but firm presence
- An interest in education
We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience, although previous experience of working with students with challenging behaviour will be an advantage. If you are an aspiring teacher, or an experienced cover supervisor looking for a position, this opportunity could be ideal for you. These opportunities could also suit a candidate with experience of working as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor.
