Berry Recruitment's Darlington branch is currently recruiting a Chef to support a Primary School in the Catterick Garrison area. This is a short-term temporary role with the possibility of extension.

�? Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of balanced and nutritious meals, tailored to the dietary requirements of pupils and staff

  • Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards within the kitchen

  • Manage stock levels, place weekly orders, and ensure cost-effective operations

  • Lead and supervise catering assistants, ensuring smooth day-to-day service

  • Oversee the financial operations and comply with school budgetary guidelines

? Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a chef or catering leadership role, ideally within an educational or institutional setting

  • In-depth understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen management

  • Enhanced DBS check (Children & Adults) - Must be current
