Teacher of History (Full-time)

A well-resourced and inclusive secondary school in Barking is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for a teacher with a passion for History and a commitment to high-quality education.

Salary: Inner London MPS/UPS – £36,745 to £56,959 per annum (based on experience)

About the role:

• Teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 may be available depending on experience).

• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Contributing to a positive school culture that values academic success and personal growth.

• Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum design and extracurricular opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in History or a related subject.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A strong understanding of effective classroom practice.

• The ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities.
